GDI Partners

GDI is well on its way to partnering with nonprofit organizations in our local community, the city, state and the nation.  We are seeking organizations whose mission is for the betterment and enrichment of those less fortunate than others.   We are willing to give our time, talent, knowledge, skill sets and money to create a better today and tomorrow for all within our reach.

We need volunteers…this is where you can help.  What are your talents?  How can you join forces with GDI.  We would like to grow a large community base of volunteers with many and varied talents to fulfill just about any need of our partnering organizations.  We are also interested in forming an allegiance with other organizations whose sole purpose is to provide support for the well being of others.  GDI is particularly interested in the youth and senior citizens base, but not limited to these areas of social concern.

Sign up for the GDI Partnering Team.  Let us know how you can help.  We welcome your ideas, suggestions, recommendations, time and effort.  Together we can make a world of difference in the lives of many.

Atlanta Human Performance Center Silver Sneakers Program (Seniors Fitness)
Silver_Sneakers“Silver Sneaker” is a 3-year old government program administered through major health care providers, like United Healthcare, to senior citizens for their Health and Wellness fitness regiments. This program offers them the opportunity to work out in gyms across the nation at no cost to them. The Silver Sneakers Health and Wellness program is taught by certified aerobics instructors who have been specifically trained to teach classes to their age group (65 years and older). The Silver Sneakers program provides all the equipment to the local health centers, including cushioned chairs, free weights, and stretch bands, designed just for the seniors. They encourage members to proactively take care of themselves and they can attend aerobic classes or work out on the facility equipment with the assistance of the center trainers.

Good Deeds International (GDI), LLC, has formed a new relationship with The Andrew and Walter Young Family Southwest YMCA.  Their short and long term goals are to help enhance the Mission of this community minded organization, both locally and nationally.

The Andrew and Walter Young Family Southwest YMCA was named for Andrew Jackson Young, Jr., American politician, diplomat and pastor from Georgia who served as Mayor of Atlanta, a Congressman from the 5th district and the United States Ambassador to the United Nations, and supporter and friend of the Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., and his brother, Walter Young, who has been a prominent member of the southwest community for many years.  Like his father, Andrew Jackson Young, Sr., Walter is a dentist whose practice is located near The Andrew and Walter Young Family Southwest YMCA.

The Step and Think Pink Breast Cancer Awareness Foundation

STP-PartnerGood Deeds International (GDI), LLC, has been a long-time supporter of The Step and Think Pink Breast Cancer Awareness Foundation.

This Foundation was founded by Monique Salter, who is a woman at risk for this dreadful disease.  Monique is a native Chicagoan and an active member of the steppin’ community.

She established The Step and Think Pink Breast Cancer Awareness Foundation to provide a network of strength throughout the nationwide steppin’ community.  The Foundation is devoted to representing the needs of women and men affected by this disease.  The tragedy of this illness is not merely the physical and emotional burden, but also the enormous financial strain it places on a family.

Monique’s dear friend surrendered her fight with breast cancer a few years ago.  Because of this tragedy, The Step and Think Pink Breast Cancer Awareness Foundation will work to make a difference in the lives of those affected by this disease—steppers and nonsteppers in and around our community.
