
Melanie, Chief Financial Officer for Good Deeds International (GDI), LLC, has been a member of the Atlanta and national steppers' community for 10 years. Happily married to her best friend, Mr. Craig Fields; and together are now the proud parents of their miracle baby boy -Cairo Alexander! She and her husband love being parents and enjoy movies, music, cars, reality TV. Melanie was introduced and fell in love with steppin' after being invited to a steppin' class and set by a skating instructor from Chicago who saw she had a love of music and dance, but wasn't such a great skater!
Melanie calls Northern California's Bay Area (San Francisco, Oakland and Berkeley) her home, but she is truly bi-coastal. Born in Boston MA, and has lived in both Los Angeles, CA, and New York, NY before and settling in to the life of a "Georgia Peach" with her relocation to Atlanta, GA in 1992. Currently taking time out from her career life, Melanie is a stay-at-home mom, and has plans to continue her pursuit of a marketing degree. A member of past and present steppers' organizations, to include -Steppin' Out, True Passion Steppers and Sistas In Sync, Melanie has also attended, competed and won several local and nationnal steppin' competitions.
In her role with GDI, she also serves as a member of the promotions & marketing team, so she is always on Facebook and other social media sites keeping folks up to date on the Heritage Ball events. Known by her friends to be fiery and foxy, she was given the nick-name "Foxfire" by a dear friend, a nick name that she has grown to fully embrace! Faith-filled, creative and always willing to share a big hug, Melanie looks at, and lives life, with an optimistic hope for the world!
